Roman Reigns has tested positive for Covid-19 and is off the card for WWE Day 1.
“I yearn to perform tonight at WWE Day 1 to defend my Universal Championship,” Reigns tweeted. “However, unfortunately, earlier today I tested positive for Covid-19. Due to the proper protocols I am unable to compete as originally scheduled. I look forward to returning to action as soon as possible.”

Brock Lesnar, who was to meet Reigns for the Universal Championship, has been added to what is now a Fatal 5-Way Match for the WWE Title.
Lesnar last wrestled for the WWE Championship at WrestleMania 36 in March 2020, losing to Drew McIntyre. He is a former five-time WWE Champion.
WWE Day 1 airs live from 2pm (NZDT) today, January 2, on Sky Arena and WWE Network.
