Global Force Wrestling (GFW) has announced a partnership with New Zealand’s Impact Pro Wrestling (IPW).
News of the partnership broke early this morning, after IPW promised a big announcement earlier in the week.
“It seemed like a natural progression to reach out Down Under,” GFW CEO Jeff Jarrett said.
“Professional wrestling has a solid fan base throughout Australia and New Zealand, and we’re pleased to have an opportunity to bring that product to America.”
In addition to IPW, Australian promotions EPW, PWA Australia, RCW, and Wrestleclash have also agreed to partnerships with GFW.
GFW now has ties to organisations across eight countries, including Mexico’s AAA, and New Japan Pro-Wrestling, where Jarrett is a member of the Bullet Club stable.
“All our agreements just go to show the popularity of wrestling around the world,” Jarrett said.
“Wherever you go you can find athletes putting on great shows for their dedicated fans.”
IPW’s next major event, Rival Turf, takes place this Saturday, August 30.
