Saturday Night’s Main Event is back, and for the first time ever Kiwis can stream the event live exclusively on YouTube, WWE confirmed to NZPWI.
First hitting the American airwaves in 1985, Saturday Night’s Main Event has played host to some of WWE’s biggest names.
The debut episode saw Hulk Hogan defend the WWE Championship against Bob Orton, and Wendi Richter retain the WWE Women’s Championship against The Fabulous Moolah.
Now, almost 40 years later, WWE returns to where it all began – Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum on Long Island, New York – to continue the tradition.
Cody Rhodes will put the Undisputed WWE Championship on the line against friend-turned-foe Kevin Owens.
After standing by Rhodes during his war against The Bloodline, Owens couldn’t stomach seeing The American Nightmare partner with Roman Reigns at Bad Blood. Owens would attack Rhodes in the parking lot, and set the wheels in motion for SNME’s featured bout.
The World Heavyweight, Women’s World, and Women’s United States titles will also be decided in Long Island as the Superstars of Raw and SmackDown give it their all to close out 2024 as champion.
WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event streams live this Sunday, December 15, from 2pm (NZDT) on YouTube.
