Just about every seat at WWE Fastlane became front-row as Seth Rollins and Shinsuke Nakamura fought over the World Heavyweight Championship.
When it became clear nothing inflicted in-ring would bring an end to their Last Man Standing bout, the action moved to the outside. There, tables and ladders were introduced to the anything-goes match – getting close, but not close enough, to a result.
Rollins and Nakamura fought into the crowd and up a flight of stairs, literally elevating the stakes of their World Heavyweight Championship clash.
Ultimately, a Falcon Arrow from Rollins off a raised platform to the floor was enough to keep Nakamura down for a count of 10 and let Rollins continue his reign as World Heavyweight Champion.
The Last Man Standing Match seemed to take a physical toll on both champion and challenger. Neither man spoke at the post-show Fastlane press conference, traditionally attended by major winners.
