A WrestleMania main event two years in the making finally goes down this weekend.
Goldberg and Roman Reigns will collide over the Universal Championship early Sunday morning (New Zealand time) at Elimination Chamber.
Originally expected to headline WrestleMania 36, Goldberg-Reigns was cancelled due to the rapid onset of the Covid-19 pandemic. Now, almost two years later, both men find themselves orbiting the Universal Championship once again.
Famous for his “you’re next” catchphrase, Goldberg issued an apology on SmackDown.
“I was wrong, you’re not next,” he told Reigns. “When it comes to the Universal Championship, I’m next!”
A crowd of up to 35,000 is expected at the Jeddah Super Dome in Saudi Arabia to watch as Goldberg attempts to end Reigns’ record-setting 536 days as Universal Champion and regain the title the Hall of Famer last held in 2020.
WWE Elimination Chamber airs live this Sunday, February 20, from 6am (NZDT) exclusively on WWE Network.
