Five former WWE Champions are set to challenge Drew McIntyre at Elimination Chamber 2021, Shane McMahon announced at the top of yesterday’s Raw broadcast.
The WWE Champion will defend his title against AJ Styles, Jeff Hardy, The Miz, Randy Orton, and Sheamus inside the Elimination Chamber.
“It’s WrestleMania season. Expect the unexpected,” McIntyre responded.
All five challengers have Elimination Chamber experience. Both Miz and Orton are former Elimination Chamber winners.
While the announcement provides clarity on the Elimination Chamber line-up, it delays Royal Rumble winner Edge’s decision on which title to pursue at WrestleMania.
Edge has expressed interest in the WWE, Universal, and even NXT Championships, but yesterday announced he would “wait for the dust to settle from Elimination Chamber” before making a final decision.
Three matches are currently scheduled for Elimination Chamber, streaming February 22 on WWE Network.
