Bayley and Sasha Banks have become WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions for the second time.
The duo dethroned Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross to claim the titles in the main event of SmackDown.
In a frantic finish to the contest, things looked to be breaking down between Banks and Bayley.
Bayley tagged herself into the match as Banks was applying a Bank Statement, and kicked The Boss out of the ring so as not to be disqualified.
Banks then tagged herself into the match and again applied the Bank Statement to Nikki Cross.
Back on the same page as her partner, Bayley hauled Alexa Bliss out of the ring to stop Bliss from breaking up The Boss’ submission – just as Cross rolled backwards to drive Banks’ shoulders to the mat.
The Boss proved to be one step of her opponent when she continued to roll, trapping Cross in an inescapable crucifix pin to win the titles.
Banks and Bayley last held the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship at WrestleMania 35, where they were defeated by The IIconics. Bayley, the current SmackDown Women’s Champion, is now a dual titleholder in WWE.
