Southern Rumble 2019 is billed as an “Australia and New Zealand Super Show” in collaboration with Melbourne City Wrestling (MCW).
“We plan to put the best Australia and New Zealand talent we have to offer under one roof and showcase why everyone is currently taking notice of the independent wrestling scene in our part of the world,” SPW said in a statement.
Student Flights Australia is offering travel packages to Southern Rumble, with return flights to Queenstown and a private transfer bus to Invercargill. More information is available via the SPW website.
SPW and MCW first announced a partnership in February 2017.
MCW Heavyweight Champion Gino “Mr Juicy” Gambino and MCW Intercommonwealth Champion Adam Brooks both wrestled for SPW in 2018. JK Moody, Marcus Kool, and Michael Richards have all represented SPW at MCW events.
Southern Rumble is one of five marquee events for SPW in 2019. The promotion’s next event is this Friday, January 18, at The Barracks in Invercargill: Fight Nights 11 featuring Jimmy Havoc.
