Auckland-based Hughes Academy is expanding its schedule in 2019.
As well as eight events in Auckland, the Hughes Academy will hold three in Lower Hutt, it announced Saturday.
Hughes Academy will hold the events, branded Saturday Night Live Pro Wrestling, at Epuni Community Hall in Lower Hutt on April 13, August 17, and November 16.
Graham Hughes told NZPWI the Wellington region has always been a hub for pro-wrestling.
“With the large array of talent in the Wellington and local area it makes sense to reach out to there and add on regular shows,” he said.
Hughes Academy has announced titleholders Butler and Frankie Quinn for the April 13 event. Ben Mana and Shane Sinclair, among others, are also scheduled to appear. Tickets for the April 13 event are on sale now.
