It’s the news New Zealand fans have been waiting for – WWE is finally airing live.
Starting in December, both Raw and SmackDown will be screened at the same time as the United States, live-to-air on The Box.
Raw airs Tuesdays at 2pm from December 6 with SmackDown airing Wednesdays at 2pm from December 7.
“We’re thrilled to be able to broadcast WWE Raw and WWE SmackDown live for kiwi viewers,” The Box Channel Manager Luke Henderson said.
“It’s a first for us and the unprecedented access to these two long-running shows on The Box will make it a lot easier for WWE super-fans to avoid unwelcome spoilers.”
Spoilers have long been an issue for New Zealanders, with Raw and SmackDown airing days after their US screening in the 10-plus years they’ve been on Sky Television.
Replays of Raw and SmackDown will continue to air on Sunday afternoons, alongside WWE Main Event.
