Jay White may have dashed several New Zealand wrestlers’ dreams by throwing his hat in the ring to face RJ Brewer.
The New Zealand-born NJPW star released a video accepting Brewer’s open challenge yesterday afternoon.
“You think you can come to our country and make a name for yourself at our expense?” White asked.
“I pledge not only to you, RJ Brewer, but to my good buddy the Brown Buttabean and to the proud people of New Zealand, that not only will we be victorious but I will permanently shut your mouth.”
White is one of 20 NJPW-contracted talent already announced as being part of Sakura Events On the Mat. He is now the 13th person to put his name forward as a potential opponent for Brewer.
Others to have already accepted Brewer’s open challenge before yesterday include Blaze, JPE, Liger, Paul Sayers, and Shane Sinclair.
Sakura Events will make an official decision on Brewer’s opponent today, October 1, from 11am on the company’s Facebook page.
