After visiting Auckland last month to promote WWE Live, Sheamus has been added to the event card.
The Celtic Warrior touched down in New Zealand just days before Money in the Bank on a whirlwind media tour to promote WWE’s first New Zealand event in five years.
“This is a beautiful country and a beautiful city – it’s unbelievable down here,” Sheamus told Stuff.co.nz.
The Celtic Warrior is scheduled to wrestle the high-flying Apollo Crews on Wednesday, August 10.
The change was announced earlier today by tour promoters Dainty Group International.
“It’s good news for Sheamus fans,” Dainty Group wrote. “The Celtic Warrior is coming back!”
Rusev’s match against Titus O’Neil will now be for the United States Championship.
O’Neil vs. Rusev is the only title bout on the card, and will continue a legacy of United States Championship matches held in New Zealand.
Chris Benoit defended the United States Championship against Booker T during WWE’s first tour of New Zealand in March 2006. Dolph Ziggler retained the title against Kofi Kingston in July 2011.
In another change to the card, Chris Jericho’s match with Neville is no longer advertised. Jericho is still scheduled to appear.
