Ben Mana defended the NZWPW Championship for the first time since winning the title in Wairoa at last night’s Mexican Fight Night event in Naenae.
While attendees watched, fuelled by Mexican cuisine, Mana overcame what was possibly the biggest challenge of all three of his NZWPW title reigns, defeating “Rufguts” Roddy Gunn and Shane Sinclair in a triple threat bout.
Chad Howard also retained a title at Mexican Fight Night, holding onto the He Toa Cup in a tag team match against The Wainui Express.
Howard, who represented Rodeo Drive alongside Bryant, defeated Jade Priest and Hayden Thiele to both keep his title and establish Rodeo Drive as the rightful contenders to The Wainui Express’ NZWPW Tag Team Championship.
