Interference from Kenith cost Kartik his shot at the Hughes Academy Championship this past weekend.
A rivalry between the two developed at March’s Live Pro Wrestling event after Kenith beat Kartik one-on-one, only to be eliminated from the Inter-Promotional Rumble by Kartik later in the night, earning the Neo Viper a shot at the Hughes Academy Championship.
Kenith ensured Kartik would not be successful in his match against Charlie Roberts when he interfered and pushed Kartik from the top rope on Saturday night – sending him crashing through a table set up at the ringside area seconds before Kartik could leap onto Roberts and perhaps secure the Hughes Academy Championship.
Roberts lost the match by disqualification as a result of Kenith’s interference, but retained his title.
Kartik stumbled back to the ringside area later in the evening to challenge Kenith to a tables match at the next Hughes Academy Live Pro Wrestling event in June.
Moments after the Hughes Academy Championship bout, Kenith’s partner, Tabitha, picked up the win in a five-woman scramble to become the new Hughes Academy Women’s Champion.
Tabitha caught Krystal Kayne with a roll-up while reigning champ Misty was distracted with Frankie Quinn and JPE outside of the ring, allowing the relative newcomer to become just the second woman to hold the title.
