New Zealanders can say “sayonara” to Carmen Rose for the next three months.
The 21-year-old arrived in Japan Thursday evening where she will tour with World Woman Pro-Wrestling Diana (Diana), the same promotion fellow IPW star Evie spent three months with at the beginning of 2014.
“Can’t wait for this opportunity to do NZ proud,” Carmen wrote when news of her tour first broke via Wrestle Rampage.
Riot City Wrestling (RCW) star Demi Bennett will also spend three months with Diana as part of the Wrestle Rampage talent exchange. She wrestled her first match with Diana at Tokyo’s prestigious Korakuen Hall last weekend.
Carmen is expected to wrestle her first bout at the Diana event on Sunday, April 12.
Diana was founded in 2011 by Japanese veteran Kyoko Inoue, and quickly emerged as one of the leaders in Japanese women’s wrestling.
Notable Diana alumnae include Allysin Kay, Crazy Mary Dobson, Evie, and Seleziya Sparx.
