With New Zealanders still buzzing about The Bushwhackers, film-maker Adam Simpson will appear on Radio LiveSport tomorrow morning to discuss the pair’s induction into the WWE Hall of Fame.
Mr Simpson is the director of Wrestling Spectacular: A Kiwi Century on the Mat, an upcoming documentary which will examine the history of New Zealand pro wrestling with Bushwhacker Luke Williams’ return to New Zealand in 2012 as its main narrative.
“This has been such a long time coming and so very well deserved,” Mr Simpson wrote shortly after news of The Bushwhackers’ induction broke this morning. “It’s a great day to be a Kiwi wrestling fan!”
Mr Simpson will appear on LiveSport to discuss The Bushwhackers from 7am tomorrow, February 25.
Wrestling Spectacular: A Kiwi Century on the Mat is a feature-length documentary “made up of interviews with more than 50 wrestlers, referees, promoters and fans, told by those who were there and illustrated with rare archive footage and stills discovered through a decade of research”.
