Roger Ventura will wrestle his first match on New Zealand soil in more than four years tomorrow night, with the vacant Commonwealth Championship on the line.
Ventura takes on Australian standout Elliot Sexton, who is looking to avenge a loss he suffered against Ventura in 2012, at NAR Labs’ Live Pro Wrestling on December 6.
“You brought your A-game and you beat me fair and square,” Sexton told Ventura. “Now I want some revenge. I want an opportunity for redemption.”
With a win, Sexton will be able to not only even the score but add another title to his resumé. The current WrestleRock Champion could leave Auckland with the newly-minted Commonwealth Championship and hold gold on both sides of the Tasman.
Standing in his way, Ventura will be looking to both remain undefeated against Sexton, and pick up the Commonwealth title in front of a sure-to-be staunchly pro-Ventura crowd.
KPW Champion “The Shooter” Shane Sinclair defends his title against England’s Marcus Kool in the co-main event of the evening.
Fresh off the plane from the UK, Kool perhaps poses even more of a threat to Sinclair than Sexton does to Ventura. The Englishman is 2-0 against The Shooter, having upstaged him twice over the past two years – including a win for the Hughes Academy Cup.
With two wins under his belt, Kool hopes to win Sinclair’s belt tomorrow night.
NAR Labs Live Pro Wrestling takes place Saturday, December 6, at Avondale College in Auckland.
