The Nobodies will be marked men at NZWPW Beat Down tonight, where Ben Mana takes on JC Star.
“For years I have had a lot of respect for this guy due to his craft and his years in the NZ wrestling game,” Mana said.
“Sadly he is part of a group of marked individuals called The Nobodies so I intend to make an example out of him.”
The Nobodies bent the rules as best they could at Over the Top earlier this month to keep Mana away from the NZWPW Championship.
Star and “Dream Catcher” Phil Woodgate helped “Rufguts” Roddy Gunn retain the title in what was supposed to be a singles match against Mana, and Rufguts returned the favour later in the evening by eliminating Mana from the Over the Top Battle Royal to hand Dream Catcher the win.
Mana may have an equaliser up his sleeve for tonight’s contest though.
While Rufguts is not scheduled to appear at Beat Down, Paul Sayers has made it clear he will be in attendance.
NZWPW audiences last officially saw Sayers in May, when a three-on-one attack at the hands of The Nobodies ruined an emotional farewell for That Young Warrior.
News broke earlier this week of Sayers’ vendetta against Dream Catcher, JC Star, and Rufguts, and Sayers will roll into Beat Down tonight with one thing on his mind: revenge.
