IPW Champion Travis Banks will face his biggest test yet at Trial by Combat later this month.
Banks recently defeated Curt Chaos in a lumberjack match (with The Investment surrounding the ring) to retain his IPW Championship at Escalation.
“Congratulations, somehow you pulled out a miracle, but there will be no miracles July 26 at the aptly named Trial by Combat,” IPW Director Daniel Burnell told Banks after the match.
“The NZ heavyweight champion is going to be in a gauntlet match. That means you have to go through every single member of The Investment until you lose. And you will lose.”
Banks has scored singles victories over Aaron Henry, Curt Chaos, Jakob Cross, and Vinny Dunn this year but has never had to compete in back-to-back matches against his rivals.
How will Banks fare when faced with Burnell’s super group, one after the other?
IPW Trial by Combat takes place Saturday, July 26, at the Mt Albert War Memorial Hall.
