Bad Luck Fale will headline New Japan Pro-Wrestling’s next major event, Dominion, challenging Shinsuke Nakamura for the IWGP Intercontinental Championship.
Fale confronted Nakamura moments after the King of Strong-Style had defended his title against Daniel Gracie and, despite the language barrier, made it very clear he was to be next in line for an IWGP Intercontinental Championship match.
New Japan Pro-Wrestling made the match official earlier today, announcing Fale and Nakamura will be the main event in Osaka on June 21.
Fale defeated Tetsuya Naito in his scheduled match at Back to the Yokohama Arena, pinning the Stardust Genius after the Bad Luck Fall.
Fale versus Naito was a real battle of strength versus speed, with Naito using his quickness for an early advantage in the match.
Every shot of Fale’s seemed to do at least twice the damage of Naito’s attack though, allowing the Bullet Club enforcer to pick his shots and still leave Naito reeling.
Things took a turn for the worse for Naito when he missed his Stardust Press, and Fale levelled him with the Grenade soon after.
Naito was able to kick out, but Fale followed up with the Bad Luck Fall to pick up the win and leave him free to confront Nakamura later in the night.
