Evie has recently touched down in Perth, Australia where she will compete in NHPW’s Global Conflict tournament tonight.
The IPW Women’s Champion was originally scheduled to wrestle long-time rival Kellie Skater in the first round of the eight-woman tournament before an injury forced Kellie out of action.
“I don’t really know who I’m facing,” Evie revealed in a video blog, “but you know what? That doesn’t matter.
“Whoever I’m facing in the ring will get to experience how hard my strikes are. They’ll get to see first-hand how quickly I move between those ropes, because I’m going into Global Conflict with the same mindset that I do anything else, and that is to win.”
Evie has found success in Australia before. The 26-year-old beat Madison Eagles to become undisputed PWWA Champion in Sydney last August.
She will face stiff competition if she hopes to add the Global Conflict shield to her résumé though, with Madison Eagles entered into this year’s tournament, as well as former SHIMMER Champion Sayara Knight and current Indygurlz Australian Champion Mercedes Martinez, who Evie wrestled during SHINE 9 in Florida last year.
2014 is the second year NHPW has held the Global Conflict tournament.
Canadian Portia Perez won the Global Conflict shield last year, defeating Kellie Skater in the tournament final.
