The Armageddon Pop Culture Expo is underway after a taster session last night, and Impact Pro Wrestling did not disappoint.
IPW Tag Team Champions Aaron Henry and Jakob Cross welcomed Travis Banks back from the United States when he and TK Cooper fought the champs in a non-title main event.
The match came about after Banks saved Cooper from a two-on-one assault following his opening contest against Henry, so tensions were high by the end of the session.
Banks showcased what he’d learned in the United States with a brainbuster victory. Will the Peak of Perfection keep his momentum going today?
Armageddon Cup Champion James Shaw was tested by the debut of Hush, a mysterious man who ultimately tapped out in the Stretch Muffler. Is Shaw on track to defend the Armageddon Cup in today’s tournament?
Johnny Idol made the journey north from NZWPW to clash with Khan, finishing the former Armageddon Cup Champion with a gutbuster; and Joel Clementson went back to basics and took out Pat Schisk with the claw.
Don’t miss all the action when Armageddon opens today, with IPW wrestling at 11am, 1.30pm, and 4pm for each of the next three days of the expo over Labour Weekend.
Armageddon Expo, ASB Showgrounds, Greenlane, from 9am. Tickets available on the door.
